\n2.)She lives with her Aunt and Uncle, and her two cousins. Gracie doesn't talk to most people, and Jenny is kind of a brat. Her Aunt is super strict probably because her own sisters died from Amor Deliria Nervosa, including Lena and Gracies moms. Rachel is her sister and suffered from the disease as well but was cured. Lena's real name is Magdalena after Mary Magdalena, and she hardly ever steps out of line or gets into trouble. Her best friend is Hana, a girl from the west end who showed her compassion (secretly) after her mother died. They have known eachother since 2nd grade.

\n3.)Lena messed up her first evalutaion by saying her favorite color is gray, and her favorite book is Romeo and Juliet. These weren't the things that they like to hear. Even bigger of a conflict is the attack on the labs from the invalids that the government is trying to hide. That is when Lena meets Alex and her troubles really begin because she starts to worry about catching the disease. The characters in the book consist of Lena, Hana, Alex, and Aunt carol as some big characters, Lena is a confused teenager who is afraid of getting "infected" and wants to just have a happy and peaceful life, Hana is the rebellious pretty girl who doesn't want the normal gray life that the cure gives you she wants to be able to have feelings and also be able to listen to real music and have fun with coed dances and such she is the voice of reason in Lena's life, Alex is the male who is strong and tricky being that he once used to be an invalid living in the wilds now he lives inside Portland and continues to be sneaky inside of Portland\u2019s walls, and finally Aunt Carol is the voice of the government telling her to follow them carefully get the good score on the evaluation follow the rules and also to get the cure so that she is not contracting the disease and becoming like her mother.

\n5.) What has occurred in the book at this point is that Lena has changed her mind about wanting to be cured, this was all started with the fact that she meet Alex at the labs loading docks because of the fact Hana wanted to check out how the Invalids got the cows into the labs on their in valuation days her friendship with Hana was strained afterwards because Hana started going against the rules and having fun, then Lena started to go to the music and then ran into Alex at the dance and they became even closer and this is what made Lena start to change her opinion of how good the cure would be, and she starts to fear it and gets closer and closer with Alex, where most of us are at we are finding that Lena has fallen for Alex and doesn't want the cure no more.

\n6.) What might happen next is that Lena and Alex escape to the wilds to live there or somehow they both avoid getting the cure making it so they can still live in Portland which no one can really know what could happen so they just got to wait the thing I do know is that there is going to be a lot of twists coming up that will make the reader really excited for the second book in the series. What i think of Alex and Lena's relationship is that it is very sweet and cute, and the fact that they are so secretive about their love makes my heart pound being i can relate to having to hide my love from most, this relationship also makes the story have so much umph, making the plot move along and the characters really get character.

The government is most likely hiding the truth about the wilds because the fact they dont want people to think its real and have hope to get free and live outside the walls outside the rules, they don't want their citizens to think that they have a choice, they want them to think that they have to live with the cure and there is nothing else.

\n2. The government tried to extinguish the Invalids long ago, even though groups of them still exist in the Wilds, but they want to hide the fact that people could live normal lives outside the system without having to get the cure.
