Picked it up and a truck was driving by and it scared the pup which caused the pup to bite tedd and tedd dropped the pup. the pup ran under the truck and the truck ran over the pup.- tedd told his parents about the pup and told them that the pup bite him, but did not tell im that the pup got ran over.- searched for the potential owner of the pup- came to a house down by the drive-in theater and stumbled upon the mysterious character rat.- Rat offered tedd a job at the theater.- tedd started working for ratt. with picking up garbage around the theater.- tedd showed rat the valley which used to be a indian village. also showed him the sunset.- tedd went and got rabbies shots2.the relationship with rat and tedd are a friend and a co-worker. tedd and leaky are good friends.3. what suprised me in the book is that rat got very offensive when tedd showed rat the army hat he found by the river because it made me think ratt killed the body that was found by the river4. in the book it has been predictable that rat is a killer because of the way he acts towards the things tedd does.5. tedds grandmother was missing. tedd found her in a crappy green truck that was owned by a guy who was staying at the hotel. the guy came out and yelled at tedd and his grandma for being in his truck and treated them like complete and total crap. tedd from that day always thought about this mysterious guy and how much he hated him. tedd found a box that was in the room the guy was staying in. he showed rat the box and rat questioned tedd about it angerly. this box belonged to rats father. tedd soon seen rats father again at the movie theater. He showed up and just caused problems. tedds grandma soon was at the hospital and tedd went to go see rat to tell him that his dad has stayed at the hotel weeks before. when tedd got to rats house he seen rats father dead on the door. rat told tedd that he has to go with him. rat took tedd to the tree house out by the river. when they got to the tree house tedd noticed that the river was flooding. tedd stumbled trying to get up the ladder and the water almost took him with it. rat helped tedd up to the tree house. they dryed off and ate. rat told tedd everything about his father and how his father killed unk. then his father came there with a gun and he killed his dad off. they soon fell asleep after that. tedd woke up and went to go pee and he noticed the tree has moved. he woke rat up and as rat was getting up the tree started falling over. tedd almost fell off and rat grabbed ahold of him. the sink came flying and hit rat in the head and they both fell in the water. Rat was knocked out and tedd struggled to keep rat above water. they went down stream and ended up being down town. tedd and rat were saved by people on the boat. tedd woke up in a hospital and went and found rat. he talked to rat for a bit then left. when he came back again rat has left.
