1.) The hound was introduced to us, which is a mechanical dog thing that kills book readers and thinkers. We also learned that Mildrad replaced human contact with technology, More specifically the television. One last thing that happened was when Montag went to pet the mechanical dog, it growled at him which gave him the impression that someone told the dog to do that, which Captain Beatty said it only does what we tell him to do and not to worry.
2.) One of the first characters that have come into the book other than Montag would be Clarisse McClellan. She is this young teenager that opens up Montags eyes to being happy. I believe she takes a big part in it because I think in a way she really made him start to think of a better reality for the books.
3.) What surpised me was how they live, it is a totally different world than where we live in, they despise readers and thinkers and kill the ones that do. I just think this sounds more like a messed up version of communism. The technology seems to be a mix of technolgy today and futuristic technology, which really throws you off. Seems like a dangerous world if you ask me, i definitely wouldn't want to live there.

Zakk's 5.) It is for sure an interesting book, but it just seems a little ludicrous to be killing book readers and burning books. I guess its an okay book, not my type of read but it's defintely out there which is fun.
Jessica 5.) I do enjoy the book it’s just hard to get into with the type of grammar that gets used, it makes it harder for me.
